International Summer Dance Intensive, 5-week program

2013 Program Dates: June 17 – July 19

The International Summer Dance Intensive at the Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet is a five-week intensive designed for the serious ballet student, ages 12 and older, who is aspiring to a professional dance career. Daily classes include ballet technique, pointe, variations, male virtuosity, partnering, and classical and contemporary repertoire. The program will also include weekly enrichment classes in modern, jazz, body conditioning, character, dance history, improvisation, Pilates, and Yoga.

Seminars on make-up and dance careers, as well as exciting field trips around Chicago are all a part of this unique experience. Classes are taught by The Joffrey Ballet’s Artistic Staff and Joffrey Academy Faculty. This intensive culminates with a presentation to showcase everything the students have learned.

 

Tuition and Fees:

Audition Fee: $30 (advance online) /$35 (day-of) /$40 (DVD)
Registration Fee: $100
Tuition (includes lunches): $2,500
Room and Board: $3,050
Activities Fee: $275
