Intro to Pointe

*Teacher’s approval required*

A 9-week class on basic beginning pointe work, classes will guide the students through pre-pointe preparation, finding a proper pointe shoe, sewing, and beginning pointe exercises. For the safety of the students, it is mandatory that they take two ballet technique classes a week. One of those classes must be the Joffrey Open Ballet class immediately before the Intro to Pointe Class (either Monday 6:30- 8:00pm for those enrolled in Monday Intro to Pointe, or Thursday 6:30-8:00pm for those enrolled in Thursday Intro to Pointe). Kim Sagami and Elizabeth Luse will need to approve student’s enrollment in pointe during their ballet technique class. It may take up to several weeks. Please pick up an approval form from reception as you check in for technique class.

 

The current session of Intro to Pointe is full.

April 1, two new 9-week sessions of Intro to Pointe will begin:

Monday 8:00-8:45pm

Thursday 8:00-8:45pm

Registration for these sessions begin on Monday, March 25. Students must be approved for Intro to Pointe prior to registering. Registration is available until each class is full (capacity: 16 students). The class is filled on a first come first served basis.

 

Second Semester Schedule, 2013 Second Semester dates are January 21, 2013 - June 2, 2013
